Basic information

Ambassador Ngo Thi Hoa was born in 1964 in Ha Noi, Viet Nam. She is a career diplomat with intensive working experience in the diplomatic service. Over the past 27 years, she has held diff​erent diplomatic positions in the country and abroad.

She is married and has two children.

 ​

Education

Ambassador Ngo Thi Hoa graduated from the University of Diplomacy (now the Diplomatic Academy of Viet Nam) in 1987.

Ambassador Ngo Thi Hoa earned a post-graduated degree in International Relations at De La Salle University, the Philippines in 2001.

The Ambassador is fluent in English and French.

 

Diplomatic career

Ambassador Ngo Thi Hoa was appointed by President Tran Dai Quang as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam to the Kingdom of the Netherlands on May 05, 2016. She arrived in the Netherlands and began her term of office in the Netherlands from December 29, 2016. She presented the Letters of Credence to the King of the Netherlands His Majesty Willem Alexander on January 25, 2017.

From 2013 to December 29, 2016, Ambassador Ngo Thi Hoa served as Director General, Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

From 2011 to 2013, Ambassador Ngo Thi Hoa held the position of Deputy Director General of the Organization and Personnel Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

From 2008 to 2011, Ambassador Ngo Thi Hoa was Minister at the Embassy of Viet Nam in the Kingdom of Cambodia.

From 2003 to 2008, Ambassador Ngo Thi Hoa held the position of Deputy Director General of the Southeast Asia, South Asia and South Pacific Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Much of the earlier years of Ambassador Ngo Thi Hoa's career in the foreign service was attached to MOFA's Department of Southeast Asia, South Asia and South Pacific, where she started off as a desk officer in 1991 before getting posted to the Embassy of Viet Nam in the Philippines.​
